Denmark School District

The Denmark School District is a public school located in the Village of Denmark. The district boundaries extend to areas within Brown, Manitowoc, and Kewaunee counties. There are approximately 1500 pupils enrolled in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 in the Denmark School District.

The Denmark School District offers a wide variety of activities for students. Starting at the Denmark Elementary School, students may participate in Battle of the Books, Destination Imagination, Jump Rope for Heart and even preparation for the Bellin Run each year along with numerous other activities.

At the Denmark Middle School, students begin taking part in school sponsored athletic activities such as cross-country, football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling and
track. Students are recognized for academic achievement with a newly established Honor Society. Many students take part in FFA and begin to develop leadership qualities as well as doing many community projects. Musical students are encouraged to participate in Jazz Band in their 7th and 8th grade years.

Activities and student choices are more abundant at Denmark High School. Academic activities include: forensics, academic teams, Science Olympiad, National Honor Society. Students are able to join clubs such as Leos, FBLA, FFA. Co-curricular activities include all of the sports offered at the MS including additional activities such as soccer, hockey, dance, trap and golf. Students can also participate in the musical, plays, fitness classes, class officers and vocal & instrumental music.

The Denmark School District residents overwhelmingly approved a $14.9 million building plan to be completed by the beginning of the 2018-19 school year. This will include a new high school gymnasium, fitness center, Ag/Science animal lab, multi- purpose room for wrestling, and converting our current cafetorium to an auditorium.

The Denmark School District exists to ensure the highest level of learning for every student by providing vigorous educational programs reinforced by support to ensure student success.
