It was recently published on the Community Dental website, which describes itself as the “premier community health and education portal for California’s community colleges.”
The article discusses a new $2.2 billion initiative called “Community Dentists’ Premium,” which aims to provide dental care to students and community college students with the lowest costs.
The plan is expected to increase dental care by more than 10 percent over the next three years, and will provide students with more than $3 billion worth of dental services over the course of a three-year period.
A similar plan in the state of Washington, which was announced last year, aims to save community college dental students over $6.6 billion in the next decade.
“The Community Dental community college program is expected be the first in the nation to reach this benchmark of increased care to its students,” the article reads.
“This program will allow for significant cost savings for our students and communities, including a significant increase in dental care over the life of the program.”
What’s more, the article notes that the plan will help to provide more dental care for students who can’t afford dental care.
